Clear answers. No fine-print feeling.
Coaching should begin with a shared understanding of what it is, what it is not, and how the relationship works. Here are the questions people are most likely to ask.
What kind of relationship is this?
The short answer: a thoughtful educational partnership, not medical care.
What is health coaching at Heidi Unscripted?
It is a collaborative, educational process that helps you organize your health story, understand general concepts, notice patterns, clarify goals, ask better questions, and identify practical next steps. You remain the decision-maker throughout the process.
Is this medical care?
No. Heidi Unscripted does not provide medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, or individualized medical advice. Coaching does not replace care from your physician or other licensed healthcare professionals.
You are a PA-C. Will you be acting as my physician assistant?
No. My professional background gives me strong medical literacy and experience explaining complex information, but within Heidi Unscripted I work solely as a health coach and educator. We do not form a provider–patient relationship.
Who is coaching a good fit for?
It may be a good fit if you want time to understand the bigger picture, organize health information, prepare for conversations with your care team, explore habits and priorities, or turn a flood of information into manageable next steps.
What if coaching is not the right fit?
The application is reviewed before coaching begins. If your request requires medical evaluation, mental-health treatment, emergency support, or another service outside the coaching role, I will tell you clearly and encourage you to contact the appropriate licensed professional.
Do I need to choose a package before applying?
No. You may begin with your questions and goals. Available coaching options, current pricing, and any commitment will be explained before you agree to or purchase services. You will see the current options and details before you make a commitment.
What can we talk about?
We can explore education and context while keeping medical decisions with your healthcare team.
Can we discuss my laboratory results?
We may use information you already have as context for general education, organization, and question-building. I do not diagnose from your results, declare what a result means medically for you, order testing, or replace interpretation by the clinician responsible for your care.
Can we talk about hormones, bone health, or metabolic health?
Yes, as educational topics. We can discuss terminology, general evidence, lifestyle foundations, patterns you have noticed, and questions to take to your medical team. Decisions about testing, diagnosis, medication, dosing, or treatment belong with your licensed clinician.
Can you recommend supplements or change my medications?
I do not prescribe, start, stop, or change medications. Supplement conversations remain educational and must account for the limits of coaching. Before using or changing a supplement—especially when you have medical conditions, take medications, are pregnant, or are preparing for a procedure—review it with the appropriate licensed healthcare professional.
Will you work alongside my physician or other clinicians?
Coaching is designed to complement—not compete with—appropriate medical care. I can help you organize concerns and prepare questions for your healthcare team. Any direct communication or sharing of information would require your permission and a clearly defined process.
What if I develop a new or worsening symptom?
Contact the licensed healthcare professional responsible for evaluating you. Do not rely on coaching messages for assessment of a new, worsening, or urgent symptom. Coaching cannot determine whether a symptom is serious.
How do scheduling, privacy, and communication work?
Practice Better will keep the client-facing pieces together in one secure place.
What is Practice Better?
Practice Better is the intended secure client portal for applications, intake forms, coaching documents, scheduling, applicable payments, shared materials, and coaching messages. Use the links on this site to open the live portal and current booking options.
How should I send private or health-related information?
Use the designated secure portal whenever possible. Ordinary email and text messaging may have privacy and security limitations. Your electronic-communication consent will explain the permitted uses and risks before coaching begins.
Can I message you between sessions?
Messaging availability depends on the coaching option you select. When included, messages are for non-urgent coaching communication and are not monitored continuously. Response expectations will be provided before you begin.
Can I work with you if I live outside North Carolina or travel?
Possibly. The application and intake ask where you live and where you will physically be during sessions. Availability is confirmed before services begin and may depend on location, the nature of your request, and whether it remains within the coaching and educational scope.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
The current policy will be presented before purchase and incorporated into the applicable coaching agreement. Because the service options are still being finalized, specific timing and refund terms will be confirmed before launch rather than stated prematurely here.
What should I do in an emergency?
Do not use Heidi Unscripted or Practice Better for emergency or crisis care. Call 911 or your local emergency number, go to the nearest emergency department, or contact an appropriate crisis service. For urgent medical concerns, contact your licensed healthcare professional.
How do I get started?
Begin with a brief application describing what brings you here and what you hope to understand. After a fit review, you will receive the appropriate coaching documents and intake steps before scheduling through Practice Better. See the complete process.
Your question may be part of the beginning.
“Clarity doesn’t require having every answer. Sometimes it begins with asking a better question.”
